This milestone will be an open submission to create a concept for the Boost brand and landing page of the Boost web UI. We will reward the top 5 submissions to this milestone and will select a single submission to work with us on the follow up milestones of this grant.

Branding and UI Concept

We will meet with the selected team from Milestone 1 and provide additional direction based on their submission. This milestone will include finalizing Boost branding and the remaining sub-pages of the Boost UI. The milestone will also include 2 rounds of review from the Boost team.

Finalizing branding

Breakout of design from Milestone 2 into static html and css. The Boost team will integrate this into the existing codebase. This milestone may be skipped if the selected grantee does not have expertise in this area, or if the Boost team deems this milestone unnecessary.

Boost was built to be a complete replacement of the <a href="https://github.com/filecoin-project/go-fil-markets">Markets subsystem</a> within the Lotus project. In addition to overhauling the internals of the system to make it more reliable, and flexible, we also built Boost with the user experience of Storage Providers in mind. We want to help provide Storage Providers with easy access to as much information about their systems and the state of their deals as possible, so that they can better serve their users. With the creation of Boost, we have also added a single page, React based, web application to provide Storage Providers easy access to the information, and functions available via its GraphQL API. Boost already has a fully functional GUI (additional updates will be made prior to launch), but we want to ensure Storage Providers have a great experience using the interface. As such, we are looking for an experienced team to help us build out both branding, and a redesign of the Boost GUI with a high quality user experience in mind.

Boost is nearing initial launch in early April 2022 with the aim to improve the flexibility and user experience of deal making for Storage Providers on Filecoin. Boost already has a fully functional, low fidelity GUI, but we are looking for a team to help us create branding and a redesign to make it ready for launch to users.
